Typical Applications
The HMC175MS8 is ideal for:

The HMC175MS8 is a miniature double-balanced
mixer in an 8-lead plastic surface mount Mini
Small Outline Package (MSOP). The device
can be used as an upconverter or downcon-
verter. The mixer provides exceptional isolation
and Intermodulation performance for applications
in high signal density environments. This device
can also be used as a biphase modulator or
demodulator. The MSOP8 is the smallest foot-
print available for a complete double-balanced
mixer (0.118" x 0.190" x 0.040").

* Circuit Board Material: Rogers 4350
The circuit board used in the fi nal application should
use RF circuit design techniques. Signal lines should
have 50 ohm impedance while the package ground
leads and exposed paddle should be connected
directly to the ground plane similar to that shown. A
suffi cient number of VIA holes should be used to con-
nect the top and bottom ground planes. The evalua-
tion circuit board shown is available from Hittite upon
request.
